King of Green YAME GYOKURO Super Premium is packaged in a dedicated paulownia wood box (専用桐箱入り) and released as Series 6, Vol. 1.[2] King of Green YAME GYOKURO Super Premium is classified as a green tea of the Yame Dento Hon Gyokuro (八女伝統本玉露) type, specifically the award-winning tea from the 74th National Tea Competition 'Gyokuro (hand-picked) category (4kg)', winning the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award (1st place, 1st seat).[2] The tea used in King of Green YAME GYOKURO Super Premium was produced by Masafumi Jo of Shinozori Seicha (新枝折製茶) in Kurogi-machi, Yame City, who led Yame to 20 consecutive years as the top gyokuro production region at the National Tea Competition.[2] Masafumi Jo first entered his gyokuro in the National Tea Competition held in Yame City in 2005, placing 3rd, and in 2020 won the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award on his 14th attempt.[2]
