Production Philosophy

An Oolong Bottled Tea. SEISOU is a bottled oolong tea produced by IBUKI of Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It was released as a summer limited product in July 2025. The tea is built around 'Kanaya Ibuki,' a cultivar developed at IBUKI's tea plantation over more than 20 years; the leaf is dark green and glossy with a thin, sword-tip shape and a rich, dashi-like aroma.[1],[2]

Composition & Vinification

Kanaya Ibuki Tea Leaf — Aromatic Base. SEISOU is made from 'Kanaya Ibuki,' a tea variety developed at IBUKI's own tea plantation over more than 20 years. According to IBUKI, the leaf is dark green and glossy with a thin, sword-tip shape and carries a rich, dashi-like aroma.[2]

Tasting Profile

Appearance. SEISOU shows a clear golden water color.[2]

Nose. The aroma is floral, with a fruity, muscat-like note.[3]

Palate. The palate is described as a mellow sweetness with rich flavor and a hint of sweetness, followed by a refreshing sweetness that lingers on the tongue and a long-lasting aftertaste.[2]
